This teen guidebook is one of a kind! Its principles deliver a basic foundation of psychological and social concepts and ideas that have existed for ages. If you have a teenager or work with teens, this is a great little investment for their future. These principles are not taught in school, they are taught in life.
This small guidebook simply lists 40 various life principles, a coordinating quote, and a reflection question attached to each principle. It is a short read as each page accounts for one principle. The principles are written in big and bold letters so as to be easily viewed as one flips through the guidebook. My experience as a 15-year veteran high school teacher has taught me that most teens would rather look at pictures and big words than read large amounts of fine print. My hope is that every teen who will study and apply these 40 principles will embark on a journey of self-discovery, a life journey that holds meaning and purpose.
Author Bio
Pamela Perez, the founder of WAY Education Services, is an educator, psychologist, writer, and entrepreneur. Her educational background includes a specialist degree in Educational Leadership and a master’s degree in Psychology. WAY Education Services was inspired in part by her last 15 years of experience as a high school teacher in the Florida Public Education System.
Ms. Perez now brings her professional expertise and the many highly valuable experiences in educational leadership to a wider classroom. In her books, published articles, and interviews, Ms. Perez offers up wisdom gleaned through hands-on observation in the educational system as well as her own journey of personal growth. She hopes to empower students, teachers, and administrators alike to tell their stories of hardship and triumph in and out of the classroom.
Her passion is to educate students on life principles that will continue to educate long after their formal education is completed. As a classroom teacher, she discovered that what we learn about ourselves is the greatest lesson of all.
She encourages students, teachers, and parents with these truths, “Mainstream education only teaches a small sector of what is important in life. There is so much more to a student than what is currently addressed in the classroom.
Ms. Perez has discovered and founded WAY Educational Services on the belief that it is vital to educate the entire student, not just the intellectual part of the student. Every student has gifts, talents, and abilities. Those gifts and talents should be nurtured and developed so that the student is left with a life lived on purpose a life that has meaning and value. This is a life worth living!
